A Beautiful Tropical Vintage Omega 13322 with a Stunning Deep Chocolate Dial, Original Condition with Nicely Aged Lume - c.1940s

The  Omega “30” series of movements, of which the 30Ts is the most famous, was first manufactured in 1939. So accurate and reliable was this simple manual movement that it launched a whole family of 15 (and later, 17) jewel movements. After 1949, Omega changed its movement nomenclature, and the 30T2 became the 26x-28x series of movements.

What’s On Offer

This 1940s Omega dress watch houses the 15-jewel 30T2PC movement, a manual wind watch with a sub-seconds dial. We love this watch, the natural ageing process has taken hold of the dial and created a stunningly even patina giving the watch a beautiful tropical appeal. The dial design is quite reminiscent of the military watches of the same time with its bold Arabic numerals, outer minute track, string hands and recessed counter at 6 o'clock. The hands and Arabic numerals still boast their original lume which has also aged to compliment the rich tropical chocolate dial. You will simply never find another watch like this as the way watches age is completely individual and dependent on outside factors such as climate. The dial is encapsulated underneath shatterproof Plexiglas and encased in a Dennison stainless steel case. The case is mid-sized at 33mm but due to its slimline bezel, it wears larger on the wrist. Paired with a soft leather strap in chocolate to compliment the dial, this watch has simply beautiful vintage appeal - a joy to those of us that appreciate the effects of time on such pieces!
