Even the folks at the back of the room have now realized that we absolutely love Patek Philippe time-only watches. Right now, we have a very early (1940s) rectangular dress watch, reference 1580, with those unique 'scroll lugs'—check out the photos! These curly lugs are super cool; we might even want to call them 'teardrop' lugs, too.
The case is incredibly well-preserved, with the gold stamps still deep and clear. The dial is just as impressive, featuring three Roman numerals, elegant applied 'dots' marking the other hours, and a small running second at the six o’clock position.
The watch comes fitted with a lightly used Patek Philippe strap and an original 18k gold PP pin buckle. It’s powered by a hand-wound Caliber 9.90, which has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
As we’ve said before, there’s something inherently refined about a simple 'time-only' watch. And let’s be honest, Patek Philippe probably has the longest track record in the game, and these 'fancy' lugs? Super cool!
